If you hold temporary protection in Ireland, your current permission is valid until Tuesday, 4 March 2025. If you wish to continue to hold this permission up to 4 March 2026 you will need to apply to renew your permission online.
The online application process is now available. Potential applicants are strongly encouraged to make this application as soon as possible, in order to ensure that they have a valid Temporary Protection permission.
To apply online, please visit the Irish Immigration website at the link - https://ow.ly/UltC50V1jNt
One will need to create an account on the ISD portal, using your email address, or log in, if you have an existing account. Once you have done this, one should select ‘Applications for Registration Renewals (including Temporary Protection)’ and select ‘Ukraine Temporary Protection Renewal’.
As part of the online renewal process, one will be required to submit the following documents, namely roof of Identity such as a Passport, National ID Card, Birth Certificate and Other ID Document.
Applicants are also required to provide a proof of Permission, namely a Temporary Protection Certificate; TP Replacement Letter or Irish Residence Permit. Proof of Residency in Ireland is also required.
Residency proof may include but is not limited to - evidence of employment; proof of residence (for example a lease agreement or utility bills); education records and documentation of contact with government agencies. If applicable, other documentation may be furnished. This is optional but applicants may upload any other relevant documents that support their application.
All beneficiaries are required to complete separate applications. A parent/guardian can complete a form on behalf of a minor. Please ensure to tick ‘YES’ below if you are filling out an application on behalf of a minor.
Irish Residency Permit (IRP) Cards will be processed together with one’s Temporary Protection. Applicants do not need to apply to renew your IRP Card separately. One may be asked to present in person at Citywest Transit Hub, in order to obtain further information from individuals about their application.
If this is the case, one will receive an email to advise of this, and then an officer will be in touch by phone to arrange an appointment. Please note, phone calls will be from a withheld number.
If you are asked to present at Citywest, please ensure that you bring all the necessary documentation with you on the day.
Please note that once you have submitted your renewal application your current Temporary Protection permission will remain valid until you have completed the renewal process. This will be confirmed by an email notification once your application for renewal is completed.
